The Problem
Underdeveloped and developing nations in our world lack the sophisticated water filtration and sanitation delivery systems we take for granted. Drinking contaminated water leads to sickness and in the case of infants and young children, death from water-borne diseases. Water=Life brings clean water to children and those communities where access to safe water is an ongoing problem.
Our Response
Water=Life adopted the Sawyer SP180 Water Filter System as the preferred method of removing 99.9999% of water-borne diseases causing illnesses such as cholera, typhoid and amoebic dysentery. It filters out harmful bacteria such as:
• Salmonella
• Leptospirosis
• Protozoa
• E. coli
• Giardia
• Vibrio cholerae
• Salmonella typhi
Through donations from caring supporters, Water=Life is providing an effective, life-saving response to vetted communities in Uganda, Haiti, and Kenya.
With proper maintenance, the Sawyer SP180 Water Filter System will last between five to seven years filtering one million gallons (up to 295 gallons/day) of water for drinking, bathing, and cooking. Water=Life continues to bring attention to this pressing need of access to clean water inviting those who share this concern to support our mission.
